We have grown one step closer to being able to call the roofing contractors in. Two Fridays ago, we completed the roof system for the porch and this past Friday we completed the addition of scabs to the main roof (’scabs’ are shorter pieces of wood added to the rafters over the second floor to extend their length. They are shorter than the rafters over the auditorium due to limitations of the maximum length of lumber that can be milled at the factory.)

The gospel meeting was a great success. Several great sermons were preached and no one who attended left unexposed to the realities of the gospel.
Also, the group from Johnson City, TN, helped us by completing the roof system. Pictures of the work have been posted. If you are interested in following the progress of the gospel meeting and the work done on the building, please sign up for the newsletter and check out the archives. (a lot happened and it’d be hard to report it again here!)

All is well. We are continuing to work on the building and it is progressing. We have completed the right side gable and are working on the left side gable. Once this gable is complete, we will be able to begin raising the roof system.
Our pump house is now complete (except for the door) and we expect to have running water soon. This is important as it will afford us the ability to burn trash on the property.
